An A5 32pp black and white compendium that highlights the body of work of a Japanese director, Yasujiro Ozu during the postwar era of Japanese cinema through the discussion of Donald Richie and David Bordwell as well as other supporting relevant key thinkers.

The research analyzes Ozu’s unique filmmaking techniques and his distinctive approaches to cinematography alongside various case studies and visual researches. A comparison of Wim Wenders, a German filmmaker, whose works were greatly influenced by Ozu’s idiosyncratic style of filming was also greatly examined.
